- The City of San Diego's Water Department website. They've got a great “Latest News” section on their homepage and check out their “Water Conservation” tab for info about how the city is responding the statewide drought.

- A joint effort by the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California and the Family of Southern California Water Agencies. It's got great water conservation tips, especially for your garden, plus links to almost every water conservation website around.

- Probably the easiest to use of these water conservation websites, it's a project by the Association of California Water Agencies and the California Department of Water Resources. Plus it's got a section just for kids.
Energy

- Flex Your Power is California's statewide energy efficiency marketing and outreach campaign. Their homepage has great “Summer Savings Tips” and their “Residential” tab has a handy section called “Changing Habits.”

- The California Center for Sustainable Energy (CCSE). Turn to them for tons of info about renewable energy and energy conservation. Checkout their “Outreach & Education” tab for dates of upcoming workshops (there's a lot of them!).

- The Energy Conservation & Management Division of the City of San Diego was formed to pursue San Diego’s long-term goal of energy independence. Their “Conservation Resources” tab is a great resource for rebates, incentives, and tips.
Waste

- The City of San Diego's Recycling Program, part of the Environmental Services Department. Everything you ever wanted to know about city-based recycling opportunities, including curbside pickup, hazardous waste, and even surfboard recycling!

- Earth911 is a non governmental network dedicated to giving you info about reducing your impact, reusing what you’ve got and recycling your trash. Just type in what you've got and where you are in their homepage search engine, and they'll tell you where to go to recycle it properly.

- The Solana Center for Environmental Innovation. They're technically focused on product recycling, but their wealth of information about composting (and their free workshops!) is really what we love them for.
Food

- The San Diego County Farm Bureau's page on certified Farmer's Markets. Keep this page handy! They list every Farmer's Market in San Diego county and organize them by what day they're held.

- A consumer's guide to sustainable seafood. Check here for all the information you need to make earth-friendly seafood choices! Their pocket guides are very helpful to have on hand at the supermarket.

General

- Stand for Less is a movement that encourages San Diegans to consume fewer resources, or simply put, to use less. Less water, less energy. They have a great blog and tons of facts about using less.

- A project of the U.S. Green Building Council (the group in charge of LEED certifications). Especially helpful if you're planning a remodel, but check out their “Living Green&rdquop; tab at the top for changes you can make today.

- A part of the Discovery Channel company, Tree Hugger is an amazing resource for everything green. They really are a one stop shop for news, tips, and products, but don't let that overwhelm you. On the homepage, check out “Green Basics”, “How to Go Green”, and “Green Buying Guides.”
